Service Description
Just a wee bit more screen time in this course but don’t worry parents, we make sure to teach good digital habits with the kids in class. In this course, kids will bring all their math, science, tech and coding knowledge together to start coding on an iPad in ScratchJr, a coding language invented by the great folks at MIT Media Lab. Drag and drop blocks to compose commands that will bring animations and characters to life. During this course, students will make animations and design more complex games using ScratchJr. After this course, students will understand basic commands, sequencing, loops, and conditionals. Topics covered during the course include the following: Math - location - distance - direction - orientation Science - measurement - movement - forces - navigation Art & Music - draw your own animation - make a song - choreograph a dance Computer Science - commands - sequencing - loops - events During term time, this 15-hour course is conducted over 10 lessons of 1.5 hours each. This course is also available as a holiday camp.
Cancellation Policy
You are entitled to reschedule if you notify us at least 7 days prior to the course start date. The first reschedule is free, subsequent changes are subject to a $50 admin fee. No refunds, no rescheduling and no store credit will be given for any cancellations received less than 7 days prior to the course start date.
